Founded in 1880, Salem stands in a rich tradition of Arkansas Methodism. Honoring the best from the past but moving joyfully into the future, Salem is a community of faith on mission for God. Here you will be welcomed with genuine hospitality, nurtured in Christian love, and challenged to serve and grow in your faith.
All of our plans, activities, goals and objectives at Salem United Methodist Church are related to our Mission Statement which we believe is from God and has been adopted through much study, discussion, and prayer.
The stated Mission of Salem United Methodist Church is threefold:
- Reaching People for Christ "You shall be my witnesses (Acts 1:8)"
- Making Disciples of Christ "Go into all the world and make disciples (Matthew 28:19)"
- Sending Forth Disciples in Service of Christ "As the Father has sent me, so send I you (John 20:21)
As we move forward into the future together, guided by God's vision for our ministry, let us be thankful for all the people called United Methodists at Salem UMC.
